María Laura Caruso has been an editor for twenty five years (a graduate from the University of Buenos Aires, with an advanced programme specialisation from Universidad Carlos III, Madrid). She is also the author of adult, youth and children books, some of which were selected by the Ministry of Culture of Argentina, the Ministry of Culture of Panama, and the Secretariat of Public Education [SEP], Mexico for their reading promotion programmes.
Her passion for innovation led her to include, for the very first time, augmented reality technology into a trade book. She participated in newspaper and magazine booklets, as well as in special projects. Along this line, she has also been Special Project jury member for Perfil Award 2011. In the field of education, she wrote stories for textbooks and activity books, and prepared anthology selections.
As editor, she published rural and urban handbooks for different publishing houses, as well as introductory kindergarten texts. Moreover, she co-directs a reading programme including various genres, authors, topics and formats that add to her passion: reading education. She is the joint director of both an education and a business imprint, and a freelancer contributor for different publishing houses.
