REVOLUCIÓN en la MODA y los TEXTILES:La NATURALEZA tiene DERECHOS.
Moving towards the rights of nature implies a complex and profound change: shifting from anthropocentrism to biocentrism. A demanding, but absolutely necessary, shift.
In this regard, David Suzuki points out: “It would be a sign of maturity for humanity to admit the profound limitations of human knowledge and the devastating consequences of our technologies (still primitive, but full of power). This would mark the beginning of wisdom and open the door to the hope of rediscovering our place in the natural order”.
This book is part of that quest and proposes to explore how to integrate the Rights of Nature into the field of fashion and textiles.

La OTRA MODA y el OTRO DISEÑO.
This is a book that emerges from Latin America. It’s a collaboration between the OTRA-OTRO imprint and the ABYA YALA Coalition. It’s written by academics and non-academics who have shared—in this book—their visions, thoughts, and contributions to foster critical thinking from a perspective different from that known in design and fashion. It’s a must-read.

DISEÑO Y MODA SOSTENIBLES: UNA MIRADA DECOLONIAL DE SU FRACASO.
This is not a conventional book because its genesis comes from a sacred seed and its development was collective with the aim of defending the Earth.
The «collective» goes beyond the names that appear on the cover of the book. Those who appear are authors who have made a great contribution and to whom we must be deeply grateful: Erica de Greef and Angela Jansen, José Teunissen, Monica Botaj Moisin, LeeAnn Teal-Rutkovsky and María Eugenia Polesello. But also thanks to Clelia O. Rodriguez, Mama Nii Owoo, Alexandra Rodriguez, Moloiment Nagaret, Margarita Ramirez, Celeste Valero, many thanks to Daiana Miranda and thanks to Odaymar Cuesta. Without their spirits, their souls and their ancestors this book would not have been possible.

This book proposes conceptualisations and world views that run against the Western system. This book is an attempt to make readers listen to and learn what is -usually- unheard and unknown in the design and fashion world, so that they can make critical analyses and develop critical thinking. But it is not one voice or the other. The challenge is how to integrate them.

MATERNIZANDO LA MATRIZ.
‘MATERNIZANDO LA MATRIZ is a book full of magic, of knowledge not understood and knowledge understood and lived. Its teachings come from a pedagogy of the earth, of the ancestors’.
Glenda Mejía, Maternizando la Matriz (Prologue).
‘In the last part of MATERNIZING THE MATRIX, ‘Without conclusions and with more questions’, the author lets us know that she has created her own pedagogy, her spiral pedagogy’.
Maya Cu, Maternizando la Matriz (Preface).
‘…like the union of everything in the earth that mothers us, so the multiple and unequivocal senses are united in this work, the matrix of all that is unsaid, which I dare not call a book so as not to limit the spaces it exceeds’.
Miguel Angel Gardetti, Maternizando la Matriz (Introduction).
